This crazy game!

OK, Gerald and I are about finished with our demo.  With the actual game pages, I have a feeling we may have bitten off more than we can chew, however!  We are trying to get the game to drag and drop objects onto correct targets.  If they're the right target, the objects stays, if not it bounces back!  Although I've been able to locate some code on how to do this, I can't seem to get it to work.  We've got the mouse controls working well, but when we enter the other code (and WOW, what a bunch of code) something isn't right!  Uh Oh!  What if we're not ready to present our demo?
